Recommended Specification for Manufacture, Curing and Testing of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) Products

This specification refers to the manufacture of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) products by the spray process.

This process involves the simultaneous spraying of fibre and slurry onto a mould by manual or mechanical means. It is the commonly-used method of manufacture for relatively large GRC elements (e.g. cladding panels, noise barriers, permanent formwork) and other elements which are required to be thin in secion and of high flexural strength.
